Loving a Dark God

 I see you standing there with your feet planted deep into the snow

The moonlight glinting off of your blonde hair making it glow like gold

Then you turn and look at me and it's like I have been found by a dark ancient god

I see your silver blue eyes light up with your love,

At that moment, my heart skips a beat, pattering away in my bosom

You walk closer to me, leaving a trail in the snow behind you.

Now here you are, face to face with me.

The pale moonlight making your skin glow translucent and your eyes wild

You bend down and I feel your warm breath fan over my face

Your arms come around me and you hold me close to you

And I hear you whisper, "This is the best Yule ever."

Then we turn and go back into the house to get warm on that cold winter night.
